About this position: We are recruiting for Advanced Practice Nurse (Family, Women's Health or Adult specialty) to serve as a Locum (PRN) who will work in the place of the regular Nurse who is absent, or when a clinic is short-staffed. This position reports to the Office of Clinical Support, in the Portland Area Office. This position will be located in Portland, Oregon; however, based on the need of the health centers, incumbent will be assigned to any of the Indian Health Service Units in Idaho, Washington or Oregon. If hired, you are only paid for actual hours worked. Travel and per diem costs to temporary duty station(s) will be paid according to Federal travel regulations.

- Analyze and interpret patient histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
- Order developmental and laboratory tests as necessary to assure an accurate diagnosis.
- Interpret test results discriminating between normal and abnormal findings.
- Prescribe drugs to treat specific illnesses.
- Instruct patient and families regarding the treatment plan and any follow-up required.
