    This position is located in the Behavioral Health Department at the Rosebud Service Unit located in Rosebud, South Dakota.

    This position reports to the Director of Behavioral Health.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for providing the full range of psychological services for patients who have emotional or family relations problems; acute or chronic mentally disturbed patients; mentally handicapped, and patients who are exhibiting unsatisfactory personal adjustments.
    • Administers and interprets psychological tests and completes psychological data concerning children and adults to assist in the differentiating between organic and functional causes of mental and physical disorders and for assessment to factors of personality structure; and diagnosis as they affect findings of attitudes and interests.
    • Provides consultative and advisory services to medical and nursing staff, student counselors, tribal officials, teachers, social workers, and other agencies/staff, regarding mental health matters.
    • Participate in the planning and implementing of comprehensive and continuing mental health programs and projects.
