About the Position: The Incumbent will initiate, review, and distribute permanent profiles. Based on profile guidelines, advises physicians and medical personnel on profile when to change entries to meet policies, procedures, and guidelines.
About the Location: Fairbanks is host to many different cultures; unique shopping and dining facilities as well as sporting activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, snowboarding and skiing. We have spectacular views of the Northern Lights and larger than life ice sculptures. Population is about 87,000. Winter brings consistent snow conditions from November through March. Winter temperatures average 8 degrees F to -19 degrees F; summer temperatures rise into the 70s and 80s.

This is a developmental position, duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-06 grade level. At the full performance, GS-07, the incumbent will:
- Serves as the command representative and point of contact for external agencies (Government Accountability Office (GAO), Department of Defense Inspector General (DODIG), Certified Public Accountant (CPAs), etc.) regarding their inspections, surveys, and/or audit findings and recommendations.
- Interprets policies and procedures generated by higher headquarters to include implications of immediate-and long-range management activities, plans and decisions.
- Performs a variety of audits that are usually without precedent and require the use of advanced auditing techniques in gathering and evaluating pertinent data.
- Performs complex analysis and evaluations related to all aspects of accounting, management control and risk management.
