    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for and leads in all actions related to acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, negotiations, contract award, contract administration, and contract management functions.
    • Procurements are highly specialized and of significant importance to the Agency.
    • Responsible for contracts and/or agreements for Performance Based Logistics, Strategic Supplier Alliances, Supply Chain Alliances, and Long Term Contracts (e.g., Corporate Contracts or Prime Vendor contracts).
    • Coordinates with Program Managers to ensure contracts are performing as desired.
    • Exercises extensive in-depth knowledge of local, Agency and Federal Acquisition Regulations and statutory laws applicable to the overall acquisition process.
    • Develops negotiation strategies and objectives, exercising prudent judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness.
    • Assures high quality decisions and actions during all phases of the acquisition process, including contract performance and administration for life cycle of the corporate and long term contracts.
    • Performs contracting officer reviews.
    • Provides training, contracting direction and oversight to acquisition specialists working larger projects, such as the Tires Successor Initiative (TSI), Global Tires Program, (GTP) Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV), and other PBL initiatives.
    • Provides briefings to leadership when required.
