You will serve as a trainee and assist a journeyman Electrician.
Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable member of the team. Typical duties include:
* Assisting Electricians with work that cannot be handled alone and also performs less difficult tasks alone.
* Reviewing detailed procedural instructions.
* Using power and hand tools common to the trade, such as installing equipment on foundations and brackets; securing equipment, cutting in the cable, making connections, etc.
* Obtaining tools and supplies and delivering them to work site as directed.
* Cleaning work area, tools and machines.
