    Reports to Director, Human Resources.

    Provides assistance in administering the employee benefits program, i.e. Group Health, Dental & Life Insurance, 401(K) Savings Plan, Group Retirement Plan, Workers’ Compensation, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Leave Donations, and Casualty Assistance, and Employee Performance Awards Program.  Processes and maintains records necessary to implement and track benefit related matters.

    Conducts research and identifies and explains complicated and in depth employee benefit related issues such as health benefits conversion and complicated annuity calculations and information.  Conducts orientation classes, briefings, and seminars. Reviews related rules, regulations, and internal instructions for comments. Explains rules and regulations to employees pertaining to assigned functions.  Must maintain complete confidentiality at all times and inform Director, Human Resources  of any problems that may arise.

    Supports the Director, Human Resource  in performing the duties of and/or coordinating all human resources activities including HR database, benefits, training, workers’ compensation, and unemployment.

    Responsible for performing a variety of routine personnel clerical duties which include the following but not limited to:  employee insurance forms, workman's compensation, unemployment claims, and exit interviews.

    Accurately maintains personnel records.  Accurately maintains information in database.  Screens calls and visitors, personally handles many requests for information from both external and internal customers.  Types a variety of material such as personnel action changes, forms, reports, award certificates, directives, etc.

    Train employees in accordance with established policies and procedures using standardized modules (where available) to meet the training needs and requirements. Maintains training records and prepares reports. Coordinates training programs with other MCCS/MCX personnel. May be required to research outside sources and obtain information, materials, and costs to meet instructional needs.

    Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.  Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.  Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.  Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.  Must maintain complete confidentiality at all times and inform Human Resources Director of any problems that arise. 

    Alerts the higher level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. 

    Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

    Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. 

    Performs other related duties as assigned.
