    Summary

    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs a variety of technical surveillance and analysis activities for the Contract Management Office (CMO) on any contract type or phase including individual procurement, production, sustainment or major program acquisitions.
    • Industrial Specialists require, and are limited to, the application of practical knowledge of the nature and operations of the assigned industries, materials, facilities, and methods employed by the industries in producing commodities.
    • Performs duties associated within manufacturing, production, schedule and delivery management of contracts from a risk-based approach.
    • Develops production surveillance plans based on Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, risk assessments and requirements provided in Agency policy, instruction, resource documents or procedures.
    • Assesses and oversees contractor capability to produce and deliver products, services and systems to contract schedule and within cost.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business travel is required 10% of the time.
