Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is one of the largest integrated health care systems in the Department of Veterans Affairs and includes facilities in Temple, Waco, and Austin, TX.  Community-Based Outpatient Clinics are located in Brownwood, Cedar Park, Palestine, and Bryan-College Station.  NO STATE TAXES!!!


This is a bargaining unit position.  

The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is recruiting a full-time Pulmonologist, preferably with Critical Care experience in Temple, Texas.  Clinical responsibilities include consultative services for inpatient and outpatient Pulmonary service, and the Medical ICU.  Clinical responsibilities will also include Sleep consultations, management and follow up of patients with sleep disorders.   The Pulmonary section is an active teaching section involving clinical training of pulmonary and critical care fellows, medical residents and students. Pulmonary section staff are performing state of the art procedures such as EBUS, ENB, Tunneled pleural catheter, Percutaneous tracheostomy and others. We have a state of the art 8 bed sleep lab in Killeen, Texas. Opportunities and support for research and simulation based training are available.

Other duties will be as assigned based on patient care needs and needs of the section, service and organization.

Work schedule and assignment can be changed to meet patient care needs and /or needs of the section, service and organization.
