Treasury Departmental Offices—its headquarters—is responsible for the overall management of Treasury. Printing Services supports Departmental Offices' mission,using a customer-centric approach to provide expert services for all of Treasury’s printing and document digitization. You and a team of professionals will work alongside colleagues possessing a wealth of expertise in a variety of fields that define and secure the domestic and international economy. Your expertise in the production of printed and digitized documents will enable Treasury to fulfill its mission and enhance the American public’s access to information. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing the best communication tools while ensuring taxpayer dollars are expended in an efficient and effective manner.
You’ll work with a team of printing specialist in a bright, sunlit office with a fantastic view of Main Treasury and the Washington Monument. We offer flexible work schedules and a potential for some telework. We are located in the heart of Washington, DC with offices on 15th and Pennsylvania, next door to the White House, a few blocks from the McPherson Square and Metro Center metro stations, and close to shops, museums, and restaurants.
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Adhere to government printing contracts and technical requirements, terms and conditions.
- Estimate costs for printing and evaluates technical proposals from a range of contract sources to control expenses.
- Create accurate printing specifications, which insures and maintains industry and quality standards for a wide variety of pre-press, printing, products and services.
- Must be capable of giving short notice presentations and discussions on program status; write thoroughly to ensure message is received properly; and address all parties in a professional and respectable manner.
- Occasional Travel
- 1-5 nights per month.
