The Mental & Behavioral Health Service Line at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center is looking for a GS-12 Social Worker Program Coordinator for the Addiction Recovery Services- Opiate Treatment Program. (OTP)

The Social Worker Program Coordinator Addiction Recovery Services- Opiate Treatment Program serves in the Mental Health Service Line at the Minneapolis VA. The Social Worker Program Coordinator administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of service provided to patients. The incumbent develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, inpatient days, patient demographics, equipment utilization and patient satisfaction. The Program Coordinator maintains the primary responsibility for overall clinical and administrative operations within the Opiate Treatment Program along with a caseload of patients.
The Social Worker Program Coordinator oversees and directs the daily activities of a multidisciplinary team of other employees performing work at various GS levels up to their own grade and provides administrative, technical and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
The Social Worker Program Coordinator maintains primary responsibility for oversight of focused Joint Commission surveys, including maintaining all policies and procedures. They are also responsible for reporting to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Association (SAMHSA) for ongoing certification and administrative registration.
Work Schedule: 6:30 AM - 3 PM
