For the GS-09 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of the full range of equipment standards, policies, regulations, and methods sufficient to plan and conduct reviews of maintenance problems involving assigned equipment, determine equipment performance issues, and recommend solutions for economic feasibility and technical effectiveness. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Performing technical research that involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting specialized information on aviation equipment to include airframes and propulsion components; 2) Applying quality assurance processes in order to establish essential quality standards and controls and ensure quality assurance plans are integrated into the systems engineering process; 3) Utilizing automated software tools and databases to analyze data; and 4) Reading, interpreting, and determining the technical validity of work orders, engineering change orders/data, and supply technical manuals for components and equipment of airframe/propulsion systems to make technical recommendations regarding such equipment.
For the GS-07 Grade Level:

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of equipment standards, policies, regulations, and methods sufficient to plan and conduct reviews of maintenance problems involving assigned equipment. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Performing technical research that involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting specialized information on aviation equipment to include airframes and propulsion components; 2) Using automated software tools and databases to analyze data; and 3) Reading and interpreting work orders, engineering change orders/data, and supply technical manuals for components and equipment of airframe/propulsion systems.
