There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electrical Equipment Worker ~ without more than normal supervision. Such work includes demonstrated experience using tools such as screw drivers, pliers, cutters, levels, fish tape, wire strippers and crimpers, hammers, punches, etc. to repair and install electrical systems. Measuring, cutting, threading , and bending conduit. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
- Physical Effort: Frequently lifts and carries tools, equipment and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts up to 70 pounds or over with assistance. The work requires bending, stooping, and working in cramped positions
- Working Conditions: Duties are performed outdoors with exposure to temperature extremes and all types of weather conditions, exposure to dust, dirt and mud, cuts, bruises, back strains; injury from flying debris from hand and power tools. Pest control work involves exposure to toxic vapors, liquids and powders; exposure to insects that may carry diseases and insect bites and stings. Must be able to wear a respirator and use other personnel protective equipment (PPE). Reports for duty during inclement weather, natural disasters and other emergency situations
