Specialized Experience at the GS-12: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes 1) assisting in implementing military HR programs policies and ensuring alignment with mission requirements; 2) supporting analysis of military HR programs by gathering data from reports, site visits, and feedback to help identify issues, and contribute to the development of corrective actions and improved program requirements; 3) helping preparing and briefing on military HR program status, recommendations, and actions to senior leaders ensuring accurate and timely communication of program progress; and 4) assisting in policy interpretation and training on military HR regulations to key officials and staff at all levels. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Specialized Experience at the GS-13: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes 1) interpreting military HR programs policies and ensuring alignment with mission requirements; 2) conducting comprehensive analyses of military HR programs through site visits and reports to identify needs, issues, and improvement opportunities, translating findings into corrective actions, revised requirements, and training recommendations; 3) preparing and presenting detailed reports and briefings on military HR program status, recommendations, and actions to senior leaders ensuring accurate and timely communication of program progress; and 4) providing policy guidance and training on military HR regulations to key officials and staff at all levels. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
