    • Serves as an Administrative Officer for the US Army Corps of Engineers, in a Contingency Organization, performing a variety of duties relating to management of administrative and personnel services programs.
    • Serves as the principal advisor to the Commander and subordinates in the areas of office support services, administration, personnel management, document control, logistics, and a variety of other administrative matters.
    • Provides guidance and advice to all District staff administrative personnel, on the full range of administrative support services.
    • Prepares and submits administrative reports and updates to Commander.
    • Oversees the overall supply needs, services, material movement, real property, and budget for the District.
    • Establishes and maintains manpower and financial records/controls necessary to monitor resource execution.

    • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain an official US passport and VISA as applicable based on duty location.
    • This position may entail extended work shifts that last 12-16 hours a day.
    • The incumbent's living conditions range from having all basic amenities such as including utilities like: light, power, water, and refrigeration; to having none of these amenities.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

    Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

    GS-12 Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Responsible for the oversight of Administrative Programs to include: office support services, personnel management, and document control. Oversees supply needs, material movement, real property, and budget for the District. Prepares administrative policies and procedures for implementation.

    • Direct deposit of pay is required.
    • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
    • Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area.
    • This is a Career Program (CP) 51 - Administrative Officer position.
    • The initial length of this overseas tour is 12 months.
