Location: Pet Boarding, Bldg. 8325, Fort Stewart, GA.
This position requires working a rotating shift. Employee will work 20 to 24 hours per week, 4 hour early morning or 4 hour evening shifts between the hours of 0700 - 1800, Sunday through Saturday, holidays included.
A physical is required.

Although the announcement shows a range, most selectees will begin employment at the minimum wage indicated.
Performs a variety of tasks involving taking care of stray animals, boarded animals and/or animals quarantined as rabies suspects. Cleans animal cages, runs and kennels rooms on a daily basis or as directed. Disinfects cage or run after discharge or animal or release of confined animals. Cleans and sanitizes all feed and water pans daily or after use and removes all extraneous materials from kennels and adjacent grounds daily.
Performs any or all of the following:
Feeds and provides fresh water for all confined animals daily and/or as directed; protects animals from extreme weather conditions and from other animals; takes certain precautions and uses special skills in handling vicious animals to avoid injury to self or other personnel; provides security at all times to prevent animals from escaping. Exercises dogs and performs basic grooming.
Observes all animals confined daily for all signs of illness, insect infestation, loss of weight or abnormal behavior and reports conditions noted to supervisor.
For boarded animals, administers topical and/or oral medications as directed by supervisor and records such treatments on clinic records. Safeguards all drugs, equipment and supplies at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
