Duties
- Assistant the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard.
- Review budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met.
- Assist with the development and update of the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies.
- Maintains adequate staffing to ensure a safe, functional, and enjoyable recreation activity.
- Assist the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for assigned facilities and programs.
Conditions of Employment

- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Work schedule: 1200-1900(M-F) 1200-1900(Weekends and Holidays)
Qualifications
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities.
2. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. Current certification in Life guarding or Lifeguarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
3. The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment: - Water Safety Instructor - Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification.
4. In addition, for facilities that use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty: - AED and O2 Administration
