Summary
This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties
- Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
- Stocks bar. Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
- Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.
Conditions of Employment

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
- Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
- Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
Qualifications
All candidates MUST meet the following minimum qualifications:
- ability to mix drinks using alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, AND
- ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate bills and make change, AND
- ability to recognize and handle intoxicated patrons, AND
- ability to recognize shortages of supplies and replace them as necessary, AND
- ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff, AND
- meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at time of appointment (projected appointment date: 3/14/2024), AND
- physical ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
