Duties
- Serves as the garrison representative and advisor on matters relating to recreation and morale support of soldiers and their Families.
- Reviews program priorities and develops five year plan covering projected programs of personnel, funds and facilities.
- Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures; and implements regulations to provide for a comprehensive community recreation program widely recognized for addressing a broad range of interests and needs of the military community.
- Communicates mission and organization goals to subordinates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Incumbent must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with the requirements of AR 600-50.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. (Lifting up to 40 lbs)
- If eligible for a government funded PCS, a 2 year service agreement must be met or repayment of PCS costs may be required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Work experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Recreation Programs for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year.
Applicants meeting the following will be considered Highly Preferred:
- Experience organizing and coordinating various sporting, cultural, and recreational programs.
- Minimum one year experience planning, delivering, and promoting community events.
- Ability to manage resources and develop a 5 Year Strategic Plan.
