About the Agency
The selectee for this position will serve as a EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN in the ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL POST GRADUATE SCHOOL.

For the GS-06 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Performing office support and administrative functions in a diverse academic environment; 2) Providing assistance to management and students; and 3) Performing quality assurance on academic documentation to recognize fraudulent information for accuracy and ensuring application completeness.
For the GS-07 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Reviewing records, forms, files and transcripts; processing academic data in an academic, educational, or training setting; 2) Using office automation programs to prepare reports, correspondence and track the status of student information, etc; 3) Utilizing existing programs to research transcripts for accuracy; and 4) Reviewing a variety of grading systems in order to generate an accurate Academic Profile Code.
I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education.
I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement. Superior Academic Achievement (SAA). SAA is based on (1) Class standing, applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in their college, university, or major subdivision (you must submit proof with your application); (2) grade - point average, applicants must have a grade point average of: a) 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcripts, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum (= or Less than 10% Pass/Fail); or b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum (= or Less than 10% Pass/Fail); or (3) honor society membership. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements of this provision (you must submit proof with your application).
I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
