Summary
This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties
- In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.
- Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
- Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery.
- Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages.
- Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift.
Conditions of Employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Must be physically able to stand, stoop, bend, pull, push and reach for long periods of time.
- Must be physically able to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Must meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age by 12/11/2023) at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages., AND
- ability to work without more than normal supervision, AND
- ability to keep your work area clean, neat and in order, AND
- experience applying basic food preparation and handling techniques, AND
- ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, AND
- be familiar with basic sanitization principles, AND
- ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
