    Summary

    You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Weapons Systems Support of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

    THIS IS AN EXPEDITED HIRING AUTHORITY ANNOUNCEMENT. The Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) FY 2009 provides that the Secretary of Defense can designate acquisition positions as shortage positions and recruit and appoint highly qualified persons to these positions.

    Responsibilities

    • You will Initiate, develop, install, or administer a supply program.
    • You will develop and issue supply handbooks and other publications for agency and/or industry use.
    • You will conduct surveys and studies of supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods or approved industry techniques.
    • You will provide technical advice, guidance, and assistance on supply operations to agency personnel.
    • You will evaluate storage and distribution systems for potential introduction of automated controls and systems of data flow and reports.
