This position will be filled as a Temporary Appointment Not-To-Exceed (NTE) 1 year with a possible extension of 1 additional year, at management's discretion.

The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.


The individual selected for this position will:

  • Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, geographic concepts, tools, and systems to update databases, perform geographic and/or geospatial analysis, and/or produce geographic and cartographic products.
  • Conduct and facilitate discussions, meetings, presentations, and workshops with a variety of staff and stakeholders to gather and disseminate information.
  • Make recommendations and implement procedures to identify analyze problems with geographic projects, weigh relevance and accuracy of information, generate and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Use software programs to communicate the status of projects that are analyzed to develop reports and presentations.

Travel Required

  • 25% or Greater
  • Required.
