This position is located at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System and is assigned the duties and responsibilities of
the Human Resources Officer (HRO) of this diverse hospital. Specialized medical programs include Pulmonary Function Laboratory,
Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Oncology, Medical
Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Nuclear Medicine Program,
and many others, with a large outpatient service which Includes Urology,
Orthopedics, and General Surgery, with an outpatient clinic in Tulsa, OK. The
Medical Center is affiliated with the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa Medical
College. Twenty to twenty-five residents rotate through the Medical Center annually, and
the Medical Center has positions that include trainees, students, interns,
consultants, and attending physicians. Serves as Chief, Human Resources
Operations, supervising employees with responsibility for program planning
and administration for approximately 700 appropriated fund employees; and has
delegated authority and responsibility for personnel administration and
personnel management in the areas of recruitment and placement, employee
relations, personnel retention, benefits, motivation, skill utilization,
incentive awards, general performance and conduct of staff employees, wage
administration, proficiency ratings, retirement, and hours of duty and leave
