This position is located in the Real Estate Assessment Center's (REAC), Office of Public and Indian Housing. The Center's mission is to provide and promote the effective use of accurate, timely and reliable information assessing the condition of HUD's portfolio; to provide information to help ensure safe, decent and affordable housing; and to restore the public trust by identifying fraud, abuse and waste of HUD resources.
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14 level. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Analyzing and refining unique or experimental software requirements
Translating complex systems requirements into applications prototypes
Planning and designing in collaboration with OCIO and in compliance with OCIO approved standards systems architectures where little or no precedent exists. Writing, debugging, and maintaining difficult, dated, or agency-specific code
Writing and maintaining program documentations for new and intricate applications
Evaluating new applications software technologies for evolving, important missions, in compliance with OCIO Application Software technology standards and guidance.
Occasional travel - May be required to travel 1-5 nights per month.
