Duties
- Operate large, complex riding lawn mower (e.g., multiple and independently controlled cutting decks) and/or specially designed riding mowers to mow in areas requiring attention to space and environment.
- Performs tasks that require significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, several steps, phases, and detailed procedures (e.g., preparing ground for sod, flowers and shrubs).
- Follow drawings, specifications while utilizing a knowledge of project requirements.
- Works under supervision of the leader or supervisor who provides general instructions, standard procedures and policies and relies on incumbent to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Incumbent is responsible for selecting the most appropriate type of equipment to accomplish the work, following safety practices, obtaining assistance, and performing routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment.
Conditions of Employment

1. Demonstrated work experience that includes the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position as indicated above.
2. Possess the ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc.
3. Possess the ability to maintain tools and equipment.
