    • Direct, develop or perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actionsrequired to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program
    • Perform periodic independent systems evaluations and develop recommendations for system improvements based on a thorough and comprehensive study and analysis. Schedule and monitor and funding milestones for adequacy and timeliness
    • Monitor organizational and contractor compliance with milestone and system performance criteria. Collaborate and plan with other managers and appropriate personnel to coordinate and/or integrate operations and interests of other organizations
    • Plan, manage and coordinate the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned systems or subsystems, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement and quality assurance required to sustain system fielding
    • Gather facts and develop conclusions relative to any matter having a significant impact on solutions to problems requiring command attention because of their criticality of involvement with high-level policy
    • Exercise technical leadership to obtain agreement on required actions, schedules and the resolution of conflicting points of view concerning program or policy matters

    Qualifications
    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
    GS-05: Three years of general experience, one year for which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, OR four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree OR a combination of the experience and the education described.

    GS-07: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position which could include work that involved analytical research and evaluation of diversified programs; development, administration and control of assigned projects; ability to access, locate, basic design, and update information through the use of personal computer technology, OR one full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement, OR a combination of experience and education.

    GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position that includes work involved in analytical research and evaluation of diversified programs; development, administration and control of assigned projects; ability to access, locate, basic design, and update information through the use of personal computer technology OR successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR a combination of experience and education.

    GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying experience included work that involved analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and operations with supervisory control; developing life cycle cost analysis of projects or performing cost benefit of current or projected programs, OR successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a combination of experience and education. \

    GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying experience includes work that involved analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and operations; developing life cycle cost analysis of projects or performing cost benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs; or that involved other work related to management and program analysis.

    GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying experience includes knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of critical command plans and programs for participating in or conducting major operations such as mission and flight operations, tactical airlift, tactical training, rescue, deployment, mobilization, PPBS, acquisition, special operations, exercise, foreign military sales, contingency, or similar operations

    GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying experience includes facilitating process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other continuous process improvement strategies; leading complex process improvement projects, including defining the customers critical factors; serving as a trainer for Lean Six Sigma courses; and mentoring Lean Six Sigma students regarding project completion.

    GS-15: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector which has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying experience includes conducting analysis for process improvement, improving quality, or reducing costs; establishing the appropriate metrics for measuring cost reduction and quality improvement; providing technical direction in process improvement analysis; and providing classroom instruction on Lean Six Sigma.
