    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for driving CYS owned vehicles and transporting children and youth to and from school, to other facilities, and on field trips.
    • Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips.
    • Practices bus evacuation following prescribed procedures with children and youth on a monthly basis.
    • Routinely inventories and maintains bus emergency and first aid supplies.
    • Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g. oil change) transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.

    • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
    • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment of background checks in accordance with AR 215-3,2-15, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
    • Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
    • Schedule includes irregular hours, evenings, and /or weekends.
    • Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors under different types of weather conditions.
    • This position requires mandatory drug testing.
    • Satisfactory performance and successful completion of Annual training requirements within prescribed time frame are required.
    • This position requires mandated reporting of all suspected incidences of child abuse/neglect.
    • The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis is required.
    • The appropriate driver's license must be valid and current.
    Qualifications
    1. Ability to communicate in English at a level to ensure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
    2. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
    3. Requires a commercial driver's license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a passenger vehicle that carries 16 or more.
    Education

    GED/High School Diploma is required.
