Duties
- Serves as the Operations Support Specialist for the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR). Reviews plans, programs, and regulations pertaining to personnel, automation, analysis, and administration.
- The incumbent independently exercises judgment and skill to provide support services, assisting the Director in task management, planning, reports/briefings, special projects, significant acts, Garrison rosters and compliance logs.
- Coordinate directorate activities and establishes office operating procedures to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of regulations and directives. Organizing meetings, maintain short and long range schedules for directorate.
- Responsible for drafting and reviewing official correspondence, creating briefings and charts (using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.). Manage directorate SharePoint content.
- Serves as DFMWR representative on a variety of internal and external working group. Monitors and reviews financial and historical performance of the directorate. Initiates support actions as required.

- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 3 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Must require a physical examination as this position is Emergency Essential (EEC) position.
Qualifications
Minimally Qualification Requirements:
Knowledge of management principles, practices, and techniques to provide support services to the organization, analyze administrative/support practices, and recommend improvements to procedures and policies. Must have strong written and oral communication skills, including comprehensive knowledge of standard office software programs, such as word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc. (using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
Highly Preferred Criteria:
- Possess demonstrated competence in collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports and briefings based on trends, financial performance, program, and facility usage, etc.
- Possess the ability to work effectively on a team or individually with various levels of management and staff.
- Possess the ability to adapt to changing working conditions and frequent interruptions involving unanticipated deadlines that must be met.
Highly Qualifying Criteria
- Possess a minimum of THREE years of experience in/with Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
- Possess demonstrated experience in interpreting organizational goals and objectives to make recommendations and develop milestones.
- Possess demonstrated experience in managing official taskers.
- Possess demonstrated experience working in, or planning for, an exercise.
