As an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic, WG-6641-10, you will:
This position is located in the Munitions Maintenance, Storage, Handling, and Missile Maintenance Section of the Munitions Maintenance Branch. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance on assigned missiles, operate, repair, maintain and calibrate missile test equipment, operate the Combat Ammunition System (CAS B), store, handle and perform intermediate level maintenance on assigned conventional munitions.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
Conditions Of Employment

- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: AFSC 2WXXX. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which has provided the candidate with the knowledge and application of mechanical and electrical principles and the skill to perform intricate repair and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic components and devices.
For WG-05, 6 months experience servicing and adjusting ordnance equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, assembling, and disassembling parts.
For WG-08, 12 months experience or training in dismantling, cleaning and reassembling various ordnance equipment such as; target detecting, arming, control, steering, power and propulsion units and devices. Experience which required the ability to diagnose malfunctions. Experience in hand tools and a limited number of measuring instruments. Experience in the use of a variety of test equipment, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and meggers. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.
For WG-10,18 months experience in the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) listed below. Experience or training in repairing, rebuilding, modifying and testing a variety of major subassemblies. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components. Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials.

STATEMENT OF DIFFERENCES:
Advancement to WG-08 intermediate and subsequently WG-10 journey worker levels, is not automatic with the completion of the training time required at this grade level, but rather it is contingent upon the assignment and performance of higher graded duties on a regular and recurring basis. The immediate supervisor and the higher level supervisors in the organization must assure the helper duties and subsequent intermediate level is essential and has been adequately mastered through actual performance of higher graded journey level duties. A locally developed Individual Development Plan (IDP) will be established for the incumbent. This plan will be designed to provide the individual selected with the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and hone their skills relating to the ordnance equipment and components associated with the F16 ordnance to meet the full operating level of the Ordnance Equipment Mechanic, WG-6641-10, PD # NGD0325000.
