Duties

The successful candidate will serve as a part-time, 65 hours bi-weekly, physician in the specialty of Dermatology at the Savannah Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and the Hinesville CBOC for the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. This position will be shared between both clinics. Employee provides comprehensive clinical services to Veterans and their families within the CBOCs. This will include providing dermatology care to veteran patients in a clinic setting. This involves diagnosing skin diseases by inspection and or biopsy. Once diagnosed, medical or surgical treatment is provided. This practice would include prescribing medications, performing surgical procedures, biopsies, laboratory requests, and seeing patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Mobility, manual dexterity and intellectual focus are continuously required. The Dermatologist will be under the service of Medicine and Dermatology offered at the VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC, and will have access to support services offered there to include interpretation of pathology specimens, inpatient care, minor procedures, photodynamic therapy, PDL laser, and Narrow Band Ultraviolet Light therapy.

Work Schedule:8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.
