The Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System is a 673-bed tertiary healthcare facility which provides care to more than 112,000 Veterans across Northeast Ohio. The Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System is recruiting for a Physician (Internist/Family Medicine/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation). The Physician will function in Spinal Cord Injury Service. The Spinal Cord Injury Service is a Center of Excellence with a national reputation for many innovative programs. We provide Primary and specialty care to Veterans in Northern Ohio through a 32 bed inpatient unit, outpatient clinic and long term care unit. The Physician duties include:
- Providing inpatient/outpatient/long-term medical care and consultative services in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment for acute and chronic Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) patients.
- Participating in pre-admission screening, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team rounds.
- Providing leadership for team building, program development and practice improvement within SCI Service.
- Participating in opportunities for student, resident and staff education and research.
Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are authorized for this position.
