    • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
    • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
    • Positions that are supervisory/managerial require that first time supervisors/managers complete a one-year trial/probationary period if not previously completed in a competitive or other excepted service position.
    • Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.
    • Work requires regular and recurring work on-site involving long periods of walking, standing, unsteady or uneven surfaces, climbing, etc.
    • The work requires some physical exertion, such as standing for prolong periods of time, bending, reaching, walking, climbing, standing, stooping, crawling, carrying equipment, and lifting moderately heavy objects.
    • Work is performed outdoors, often under adverse weather conditions; requires exposure to high noise levels.
    • Applicants rated ineligible (e.g. due to not originally meeting the screen-out element or not submitting proof of eligibility) need to reapply for further consideration.
    • All eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met by the referral cut-off date.
