This position is located in the Office of Biometric and Identity Management (OBIM). Joining the Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) means providing biometric identity services to DHS and its mission partners that advance informed decision making by producing accurate, timely, and high fidelity biometric identity information while protective individuals' privacy and civil liberties.
This position is ideal for a professional looking for an opportunity to ensure full and accurate identification and formulation of customers' interests and needs regarding biometric identity services, communicating and addressing customers' concerns with biometric identity services, and advocating the continuation and enhancement of critical DHS operations through the use of OBIM services. This position has a starting salary of $112,021 and closing salary of $145,629.

Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serving as a technical expert on the critical business and operational needs/requirements of OBIM's customers, maintaining continuous liaison with customers to formulate, articulate, coordinate, and advocate biometric identity services and systems capability development and service level enhancements.
- Participating in the development and documentation of long and short-range planning efforts ensuring biometric service enhancements are incorporated into OBIM sustainment and development priorities.
- Ensuring business and technical solutions are developed, delivered, and meet the operational needs of internal and external stakeholders, including other federal agencies, state, local, and tribal entities as well as other external and international partners.
- Coordinating customer requirements among organizational units in all stages of capability delivery, including project design, project implementation, and operational phases.
