Job Summary:
The Bureau of Medicine and Surgery provides high quality, economical health care to approximately 700,000 active duty Navy and Marine Corps members, as well as 2.6 million retired and family members at a little more than half the national per capita average cost. This care is provided while supporting contingency, humanitarian, and joint operations around the world with highly trained, dedicated health care professionals adhering to the principles of Total Quality Leadership.

This position is under the general supervision of the Director of College of Continuing Education (CCE).  The CCE is the organization within Training and Education command responsible for the design, development, and delivery of quality distance learning products across the Marine Corps enterprise.  The CCE provides distance learning courses that support military occupational skill training, Marine common skills training, and professional military education (PME).  A Regional Coordinator manages each CCE regional campus.  The incumbent is the Program Manager for office PME activities within the Okinawa region, to include the overall operations of the regional office. The incumbent observe the educational process, review Adjunct Facility qualifications, coordinate the delivery of Command and Staff College and Expeditionary Warfare School distance education program (DEP) seminars.  Ensure seminars are established and instructors are supervised through the Blackboard Learning Support Suite.  Advertise the availability of CCE DPME services to the target audiences and brief senior commanders within the region.  Conduct an annual review of regional campuses to determine effectiveness of promotional efforts and success rate of agreed to student recruitment goals.  Develop a marking/outreach plan and strategy, in conjunction with the CCE outreach Coordinator, to actively promote the distance learning programs offered by the CCE.  Coordinate use of appropriate Government facilities with the local supporting establishment within the regional area to support the on-site and video teletraining distance education requirements.  Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in leadership management, supervision and administration of staff while providing long and near term direction.
