    The South Texas Veterans Health Care System is hiring Registered Nurse for our Community Living Center (CLC) for the Kerrville Division nursing staff.

    As the Registered Nurse you will demonstrate sound techniques in complex nursing care procedures and basic care of the Residents in a Long-Term care setting. You will use the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation) and be able to accurately document the care of residents. You will be required to establish work priorities and ensure resident care activities for the nursing team and customer service standards are achieved. You will demonstrate leadership skills in a multidisciplinary setting where the goal of care is to treat each Veteran as individuals. You will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by communicating efficiently and quickly with residents, families and coworkers. You will be expected to promote an environment of acceptance and openness through role modeling and instruction of positive communication skills. You will apply advanced knowledge and specialized skills in delivery of care to residents with a variety of simple and complex care needs. You will have the expectation of filling in as "charge RN" once orientation is completed.

    Work Schedule: Rotating Shifts as needed in accordance to needs of the unit; may include weekend and holiday rotation
