About the Agency

The Flight Projects Directorate, Exploration and Space Communications Projects Division, Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment Project (Code 458), is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as a Senior Resources Analyst. As a Senior Resources Analyst, you will perform budget planning and execution work for internal agency programs, financial control activities, and cost accounting functions.

As a Senior Resources Analyst, you will evaluate relationships between major internal operating program changes and the financial state of the organization. This includes: taking action to ensure adequate funds for program coverage; analyzing, evaluating, recommending, and revising annual and supplemental requests for all working capital fund accounts; reviewing and coordinating accounting records; and preparing apportionments, allocations, and operating budgets. Monitor, track, and report on program obligations. Assure that program funding data is entered into agency financial system correctly. Conduct annual year-end closing activities and reconcile with accounting records.

Administer and perform difficult and complex fund control activities impacting substantive mission-oriented programs. Review, analyze, and report on various accounting functions. Identify regulatory and accounting changes, resource control functions, and operating level problems to ensure funds are efficiently controlled and financial records accurately reflect the status of the organization's financial condition. Plan and conduct studies to improve the accumulation, processing, and reporting of financial data. Develop accounting data for presentations or reports on financial goals, objectives, and information to meet programmatic, budgetary, and management initiatives. Apply expert knowledge of resource control functions to solve controversial problems in financial reporting and accounting systems. Develop, evaluate, and recommend options and implement approved changes to improve accounting process to satisfy regulatory requirements, maintain adequate internal controls, and capture useful, reliable, and meaningful financial information.
