Duties
- Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors condition of, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment.
- Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assists with publicity of events and tournaments and the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
- Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
- Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Conditions of Employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
- Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking, and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include working nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
