    NMVAHCS is seeking an Internist with interest in Cardiology/Rehabilitation, and experience with telehealth modalities. The candidate must be eligible for faculty appointment with the School of Medicine, University of New Mexico.

    • Responsibilities
    New Mexico VA Health Care System is seeking an Internal Medicine Staff Physician to join Medicine Service, Cardiology Department. The position being offered is for an Internal Medicine Physician interested in working in the Cardiology Heart Failure Program within an educational system. The position would include an appointment as University of New Mexico Faculty, provide experiences of educating residents, and medical students. The position will perform as a core member of the inpatient and outpatientOutpatient Heart Failure Service including Acute and Chronic follow up clinicsm inpatient rounds, and education of housestaff. Serve as Medical Director for managing patients with cardiac diagnoses for Care Coordination/Home Telehealth (CCHT) program. Serve as liaison to Palliative and Hospice services
    During assigned times, providing urgent or emergent assessments requested from any location in the hospital or on-site outpatient clinics and services.
