Functional Statement Title: Staff Psychologist
Psychologist is part of the Integrated Behavioral Health Division, a Division
of the Behavioral Health Services Care Line at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA
Ambulatory Care Center, Columbus, Ohio. The major duty of this position
is Compensation and Pension examinations. Other duties include:
psychologist testing and clinical interviewing to formulate professional
opinions and determine appropriate mental health diagnoses and the impact on
social and occupational functioning for Compensation & Pension exams.
collaborative, recovery focused treatment plans.
professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional
psychology and behavioral health.
comprehensive evaluative reports for the purpose of compensation and pension
Occasional travel - Position requires occasional travel to local prisons. Some of the prisons include Noble Correctional Center, Marion Correctional Center, London Correctional Center, and Southeast Correctional Center. Travel to these destinations typically occurs about once per month and involves use of a government vehicle.
