    Functional Statement Title:  Staff Psychologist

    The Staff Psychologist is part of the Integrated Behavioral Health Division, a Division of the Behavioral Health Services Care Line at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center, Columbus, Ohio.  The major duty of this position is Compensation and Pension examinations.   Other duties include:

    - Applies psychologist testing and clinical interviewing to formulate professional opinions and determine appropriate mental health diagnoses and the impact on social and occupational functioning for Compensation & Pension exams.

    - Develops collaborative, recovery focused treatment plans.

    - Provides professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.

    - Develops comprehensive evaluative reports for the purpose of compensation and pension determination.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Position requires occasional travel to local prisons. Some of the prisons include Noble Correctional Center, Marion Correctional Center, London Correctional Center, and Southeast Correctional Center. Travel to these destinations typically occurs about once per month and involves use of a government vehicle.
