This position is eligible for 1.69% COLA.

Duties
- Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis.
- Supports the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities.
- Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs of a diverse patronage, including a variety of multi disciplinary events and other major programs which involve a variety of activities.
- Assists with training new personnel.
- Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.
Conditions of Employment

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. A State Criminal History Repository check may be required.
- Physical is required for moderate to heavy lifting.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Must have basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English).
- Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
