    Responsibilities

    • Serves as a Value Management Specialist in the Technical Branch of the Clothing and Textiles Directorate focusing on the accomplishment of systematic reviews, analysis, appraisals and evaluations of equipment, supplies and services.
    • Communicates Value Management/Engineering information in support of the DLA Troop Support centralized procurement and materiel management mission for complex proposals on clothing and textile items.
    • Serves as a point of contact for in-house (DLA employees) and contractor assigned studies involving technical documentation, cost data, and contractual requirements.
    • Develops Value Engineering Proposals (VEPs) or Value Engineering Change Proposals (VECPs) through application of value engineering principles and techniques.
    • Utilizes qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to advise personnel on VE Projects? objectives.
    • Works with the Value Engineering Program Manager to conduct orientation sessions to promote and train Directorate personnel in the VE Program's goals and methods.
