Duties
- This position is basically waiter work, with fewer procedure requirements than positions in restaurant, cafe or bar. Performance is observed to ensure compliance of instructions/procedures. Receives close supervision and guidance.
- Performs routine duties of servicing banquets either by providing for set menu banquets or taking individual orders. Involved in setting up and breaking down banquet settings and replenishing beverages.
- Follows simple oral and written instruction using understanding of sanitary food and beverage handling techniques, and food preparation methods. Complies with proper procedures, methods, dress and hygiene codes.
- Work primarily indoors possibly on wet or polished floors. May occasionally work outdoors. Will stand, walk, stoop and stretch for long periods of time, handling food and beverage trays, seldom weighing more than 40 pounds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
- Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
- Meet state/local age requirements (21) for the mixing and serving of alcoholic beverages at time of appointment.
- Incumbent must be willing and able to stand, walk, stoop and stretch for long periods of time, handling items that may weighing more than 40 pounds.
- Incumbent must be willing and able to work primarily indoors possibly on wet or polished floors. May occasionally work outdoors during seasonal functions.
- Incumbent must be willing and able to work varying shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must meet the state/local age requirement (21) for the serving of alcoholic beverages.
- No prior training or work experience required.
- Applicants must be able to follow simple oral and/or written instructions.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:
- Possess experience in food service- preferably in catering or banquets.
