Summary

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT in the Fleet and Family Support Center of NAS SIGONELLA.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Family Advocacy Program with confidentiality and efficiency. This includes providing administrative support to assist with the overall case management of domestic abuse and child abuse/neglect allegations at the installation.

Duties

  • You will provide analytical assistance of the budget.
  • You will perform research and analyzes data to prepare a multitude of specialized financial summary reports.
  • You will serve as the Government Credit Card Holder and execute purchasing of training, supplies, and equipment.
  • You will prepare, receive, review, and verify documents, maintain records, locate and compile data and information from reports and files, and other clerical duties.
  • You will collect, analyze, and compile data to prepare projects.
  • You will receive telephone calls, greet clients, respond to inquiries and refer to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Receiving calls, greeting visitors, and responding to routine requests for information to support a fleet and family support program;
2) Utilizing office automation software applications to produce and edit documents with complex formats including correspondence, schedules, reports, and a variety of marketing material;
3) Creating and maintaining data, files and records for easy retrieval

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
