Duties

  • You will serve as the Business Automation Lead and will be responsible for the development and implementation of advanced analytics and business automation strategies in Program Executive Office (PEO), Digital and Enterprise Services.
  • You will develop and execute a business automation strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives, and Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DoD) analytics and automation strategies and initiatives.
  • You will lead an analytics team in the exploration and adoption of emerging data mining, cleansing, structuring, analysis, and visualization technologies and methodologies
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple DON organizations to identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics and technology-based solutions, often working across DON organizations to develop initiatives.
  • You will oversee the design and evolution of analytical models and frameworks, and automation-enhancing technologies to support various business functions.
  • You will translate strategic initiatives into business requirement problem statements and subsequent analytical and business automation tooling requirements.
  • You will communicate complex analytical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • You will mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-3 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and executing a business automation strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives; and/or leading an analytics team in the exploration and adoption of emerging data mining, cleansing, structuring, analysis, and visualization technologies and methodologies.

If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $139,176 - $180,931.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the pay band, including higher responsibility positions. Based on the responsibilities of this position (DP-04, Tier 2), the total adjusted salary may be capped equivalent to GS-14 Step 10 (currently $180,931 Adjusted Pay).

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may or may not be authorized to eligible selectees.

This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
