Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing technical expertise in Air Traffic Control functions to include; Tower or Radar watch, flight assistance to aircraft, coordinate and direct control to aircraft, formulate and issue clearance, operate and monitor various air traffic control equipment (e.g. radar, lighting, visual aids) AND assign individual qualifications and training requirements to personnel.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

-You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
-Maximum Entry Age (MEA): The MEA for Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs) is 36. An employee originally hired into a covered ATC position must be hired by the last day of the month he/she reaches 36. Maximum Reentry Age: An employee who previously served on a covered position may be rehired past the MEA as long as he/she is able to complete 20 years of covered service by his/her mandatory retirement age.
