Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydromechanics, electrical, electronic, and pneudraulic principles and systems, that apply to turboprop engines and propellers.
-Skill in the interpretation and use of technical orders and manuals, manufacturers' specifications, factory engineering bulletins, flow charts/wiring diagrams and other related technical guidance.
- Skill in troubleshooting, diagnosing defects, certifying, conducting bench and operational checks, disassembly, repairing, modifying, testing, cleaning, assembly and installation of turboprop engine and propeller systems, subsystems and components such the integrated synchrophasing system, reduction gear box, torque meter assembly, fuel scheduling system and electrical components and control assemblies.
- Skill in the use of test equipment such as computer borescopes, fuel gauges, air gauges, and alignment fixtures; special tools and precision measuring equipment; high pressure hydraulic test equipment; dynamic propeller balancing equipment; and engine vibration analyzers.
- Skill in operating and maintaining the engine test/trim automated system (ETTAS) on the engine test cell to evaluate, identify and correct propeller and engine components causing vibration or impending failure.
