This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION
A. Have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks including I have performed independently all of the following duties: 1) installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and performing final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, components, and prototypes i.e. airframes, landing gear, gear boxes, rotor heads, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, and flight control systems; 2) inspecting, disassembling, reassembling, overhauling and testing complex aircraft systems; 3) reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams to perform work to close tolerances; 4) using a variety of tools such as: calipers, protractors, micrometers, hammers, torque wrenches, templates, hydraulic test stand, and electric and pneumatic hoisting equipment.
B. Have the ability to perform the full range of tasks including: 1) performing routine maintenance on aircraft systems and components; 2) inspecting, disassembling, reassembling, overhauling and testing complex aircraft systems; 3) reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams to perform work to close tolerances; 4) using a variety of tools such as: calipers, protractors, micrometers, hammers, torque wrenches, templates, hydraulic test stand, and electric and pneumatic hoisting equipment.
C. Have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) assisting with installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and performing tests on a variety of aircraft systems, components, and prototypes; 2) assisting with inspecting, disassembling, reassembling, overhauling and testing aircraft systems; 3) using a variety of tools to perform mechanic tasks.
