Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. If you meet this requirement, you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement.
In addition to the Basic Requirements and SPF for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Utilizing architectural concepts, theories, principles, practices and techniques to plan, design, manage, construct, preserve, restore, rehab, oversee, and maintain a wide range of shore installation facilities projects; 2) Ensuring federal guide specifications, criteria, policy, building codes, safety policies and standard practices are followed in architectural design; 3) Clearly communicating proposed architectural designs and study results to personnel; and 4) Overseeing, leading, and/or assisting in the budgeting, planning, and project management for architectural and design services.
