Duties

You will serve as Assistant Project Superintendent for submarine Depot Modernization Period/Selected Restricted Availabilities (DMP/SRA’S) for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility Australia Maintenance Support.
You will prepare and collaborate in the preparation of comprehensive analysis reports covering all phases of studies and investigations.
You will monitor, define, and/or conducts reviews relating to the development and refinement of new or existing management systems, operating policies, method and assigned programs and projects.
You will prepare special evaluations, reports, findings, and recommended course of action.
You will advise, counsel and instruction to individual employees on both technical and administrative matters.

This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership in planning and production principles and practices used to coordinate ship system overhaul, repairs or conversion projects. Examples of qualifying experience may include: leading production efforts for the overhaul, repairing and/or testing of shipboard work; estimating material and labor costs for shipboard work; and leading or directing work crews involving a variety of trades in completing a project.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
