INTRODUCTION:
The position is located under the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Division, Business Operations Branch, and Automotive Service Program Section. The function of the position is to assist the manager in administering and coordinating the operations of the Foster Auto Skills Center purchases, retail operations, and property assets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs detailed clerical/technical support involving the automotive retail operation by applying established guidelines and practices in verifying items and quantities received, price changes, etc. Receives, screens, and audits receiving documents e.g., delivery sheets.
Coordinates with facility managers for the entire Automotive Program to determine proper transfer of retail goods, supply, equipment, and tools. Coordinates with each facility manager to transfer items requested. Processes RecTrac system adjustments covering merchandise transfers and movements from Foster Automotive Retail Program to other facilities. Maintains stock level balances on hand report and monitors requisition and issue logs in relation to replenishment cycles.
Handles local and state-side purchases utilizing the Non-Appropriated Funds Purchase Card (NAF PC) and Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). Locates vendors that offer the best value and shipping availability. At times may have to contact state-side vendors at off-hours.
Maintains monthly inventory control and submits proper spreadsheets mandated by Account Management Office (AMO). May establish and revise reorder frequencies. Adjusts and/or maintains inventory and stock property records for local and stateside purchases. Receives and screens lists or other documents specifying the items or material needed for work operations.
Alternates to Supply Technician for updates of POS RecTrac system by inputting accounting codes, services, retail and cost prices, stock levels, locations. Maintains and prints display tags, bar codes for over 700 products/services for the Foster Auto Skills Center. At times may deliver products from one facility to another.
Assists in clerical duties to include contract updates, invoice submissions, employee scheduling, training, customer ICE comment responses, personnel action report, employee folders, vehicle service request, employee revenues, contract labor reports and others. Responsible for the timely preparation and submission of the reports and other documents or information as required to higher headquarters. Communicates effectively with all internal customers. As required, performs duties as a cashier such as operation of cash registers, review of cash supporting documents, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned, such as cash register (Point-of-Sales) duties, clerical work to include updating of computer data bases, filing of office, environmental, Blanket Purchase Agreement and all other documents unique to the facility. When required, operates retail sales store, answer phone calls, place parts orders and vehicle repair requests to vendors, interact with customers and provide information to meet customer needs. Cleans facility, to include, offices, shop bays/stalls, restrooms, closets, common areas and outside areas within the compound. May act as a duty manager during the manager¿s absence and assists on all inspections, audits, reviews and assessments conducted at the facility.

Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. May require register duties during short staff.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
